A Lesson From The Ants

Do you think that ant parents tell their offspring to “be careful” whenever they leave the ant colony to play?

Does anyone ask the ant “what do you want to do when you grow up”?

Does the ant snicker at his fellow ant and say “I don’t know why you bother trying to lift that leaf that is 10 times as big as you are, you will never manage.”

The great thing about ants is that they are ‘just’ ants. They don’t ponder a decision, look for 10 reasons why each option won’t work, and then decide its all too hard to try.

I admire the ant’s tenacity and I love the way that no-one bothered to tell the ant it wouldn’t be able to carry that leaf! The ant doesn’t know any better so it just has a go and then other ants come to help if the leaf is too big!

I think I should like to live my life more like an ant.
